- As
CFO of a new business spin-off, Rick quickly built a corporate
infrastructure from scratch to support the operations
of 30 consumer service locations that were acquired from
a public company. This included establishing corporate
facilities; creating
an accounting and administrative staff; and implementing
policies, procedures, controls and integrated systems to
support all aspects
of the business.
- He co-founded a firm that specialized in developing, producing
and distributing television and video programming
including a series of national television specials on PBS and a nationally syndicated
television series.
- As interim Director of Information Services for a major metropolitan
medical center, he managed the 140-person staff
and numerous system development projects. Accomplishments include upgrading the
data
center, improving system performance and developing
a plan to integrate corporate and departmental systems.
- As
a management consultant, Rick directed many complex assignments
involving strategic planning, organization,
marketing, financial analysis, operations improvement and
information systems implementation.
- As a certified public accountant, he supervised annual audits and
prepared financial reports and tax returns for
a wide variety of organizations.
